10am riders meeting
いよいよライダース・ミーティングが始まった。
final prep
最終準備中。
team Black Cat Riders right before the start.
レース開始直前のチーム黒猫ライダース。
Le Mans start
見えにくいけどル・マン式スタート。
the race is on!
いよいよ始まった！
first rider Kiyo
ファーストライダーはKヨ氏。
and pass the baton to shinya...
そして木村氏へ。
shinya is back!
ノルマを果たしてピットインする木村氏。
now Kat's turn.
そしてKットさんにバトンタッチ。
and my turn.
続いて筆者の番。
now back to Kiyo and repeat for 22 more hours 😅 our strategy was to take turns every 30 minutes.
そしてKヨ氏に戻る。我々の作戦は30分で交代すること。もうちょっと行けそうくらいで交代することによって、気が散ったりぼーっとしたりするのを防ぐ作戦。これをあと22時間続けるだけ😅・・・

いよいよ日も沈み始めた。走る筆者。
the clouds started to look menacing.
どうも雲行きが怪しい。
it started to rain at Kiyo's turn.
Kヨ氏に交代した途端に雨がポツポツ降り始める。
the sky was covered in dark clouds.
空が雨雲に覆われる。
the race was temporary suspended.
レースは一時中断。
all teams used this opportunity to checkup the machines.
どのチームもこの中断を利用してマスィンのチェック。

パラパラ雨から豪雨に。バンで雨宿り中。
after 40 minutes or so it stopped raining and the race was restarted.
雨が止んだ途端にレース再開。容赦なし・・・
Kiyo rides even faster at night on the wet track.
夜になるとより速くなるKヨ氏。しかもコースはまだ所々ウェット。

shinya told us he was a night-blind but he rode alright.
自称鳥目で夜は見えないので見学すると宣言していた木村氏もノルマを果たす。見えたらしい。こういう時って変なパワー出たりするもの。

we remember that we were so happy to see the sunrise but other than that we have only a vague memory during this time period. 7 more hours to go...
夜が明けてきて嬉しかったのは覚えているけど、この時間帯の記憶はかなり曖昧。あと6時間。
4 more hours to go!
あと4時間くらいってところの交代風景。

and finally Kat was going to finish the last stretch but she got a flat tyre and came back to the pit... no worries. we have Kiyo and shinya here 😊
そしていよいよKットさんが最後の〆のライド・・・と思ったらまさかのパンクでピットイン。しかしKヨ氏と木村氏の最強コンビがいるので安心。テキパキとタイヤ交換。
back on the track! Go Kat!!
タイヤ交換完了。行け行けKットさん！！
なんだか様子が変だぞ。最後の最後に何かあってはいけない。みんなの期待を一身に背負ったKットさんがカチコチに緊張しておかしなことになっている。慌てて「リラックス」とかいたメッセージボードを出すKヨ氏。
and finally the checkered flag was waved!!
そして遂にチェッカーフラッグを受けるKットさん！
we made it!!!
やったーーー！！！
congrats Kat!! we all did our best to see this smile 😼
Kットさんのこの笑顔を見るために頑張ったようなもの。ほんとに嬉しい。ありがとうKットさん！
we were the only team in 85GP class so we won!!
after several hours we all regretted about this challenge because we could not see the end. when it started to rain, we said to each other "well, there's nothing we can do. we can't control the weather!" hoping that the race would be cancelled. when we heard the announcement saying that the race was restarting after the rain, we were so bummed out. cried on the dark wet track at night. saw the beautiful rising sun together with good fellas. got so excited when we realized that we only had two more hours to go. now after we accomplished this and all we can say is we are glad that we did it! bravo to team Black Cat Riders!! cheers🍻
チーム黒猫ライダース、85GPクラス優勝（このクラス我々だけだったけど）！
始まって数時間後に終わりが見えな過ぎてみんなで一気に後悔し、大雨中断で「ま、お天気ばかりはしかたないよねー」と中止を期待してちょっと気を緩め、雨が止んだ途端にレース再開でがびーんという気持ちになり、暗がりの濡れた路面を半泣きで走り、だんだん記憶が曖昧になっていき、美しい朝日に感動し、気がついたらあと2時間じゃん！で急激に元気になって、完走した時には本当にやって良かったという気持ちでいっぱいに。そして、終わったらなぜか気が大きくなって、24時間なんて楽勝だねー物足りないねーなんて言い合ったり。まあ結局心の底から楽しかったとしか言いようがない。チーム黒猫ライダース最高！！みんなありがとう！
